Haywire Theatre brings theatre-in-the-dark to audiences across UK fringes with Nyctophilia

In collaboration with upcoming writer Isaac Saward, Haywire Theatre is touring across the UK with their new, original production, Nyctophilia, providing a unique experience to audiences.

The show, which is the first on the fringe scene to tackle theatre-in-the-dark for an entire performance, invites audiences for an entirely new kind of theatre experience.The Buxton run opens at Underground at The Old Clubhouse, Buxton and will be playing on Thurs 7th July at 2:30pm, Fri 8th July at 1pm and Sat 10th July 10pm.

Fringe Team Turn Town Orange

Buxton Fringe committee members met outside Buxton Opera House to plant up the first of this year’s orange Fringe “hot spots” recently. Buxton Fringe has been encouraging more orange-themed floral displays around the town in the run up to the event, which runs from July 6-24 and features 170 entrants in categories including theatre, comedy, music and more.

The Pye Hill & District Male Voice Choir were privileged to sing at the wedding of the choir’s President, Jason Darnell, to Rachel Wass at York Minster on Saturday 14 May 2022 as part of a mass choir, consisting of the York based choir the ‘Ebor Singers’, which includes some members of the Minster choir; ‘Cantorum’ and talented choristers and friends drawn from other choirs that Jason has association with.

Scouse comedian offering ‘laughs for life’ at buxton festival fringe

Jewish/Scouse stand-up comedian Henry Churniavsky has two shows on Saturday 23rd July 2022. Both shows are to raise awareness and funds for Mental Health Charities. He came up with the idea after his best friend’s son attempted suicide, and never recovered. He is now an Ambassador for The Mental Health Charity Jami UK and he also supports YoungMinds Mental Health Charity.
