For those of you who love pottery and would like to make more of it, a pottery collective is being set up in Wirksworth, Derbyshire.
This will be a shared studio space where members can share equipment and skills. A few more potters are needed to make it viable though!
There is a meeting on Thursday 19 February in the Red Lion pub in Wirksworth at 7.30pm. If you would like to find out more about this exciting new venture, please go along to the meeting.

The internationally renowned and award-winning Buxton Festival featuring opera, music and books will take place from 10 to 26 July. Much anticipated opera performances include Verdi’s Giovanna d’Arco, Donizetti’s Lucia di Lammermoor and a concert performance of Charpentier’s Louise. Olivier award-winning Elijah Moshinsky, who has previously directed productions for the Metropolitan Opera New York and Royal Opera House Covent Garden will be directing Giovanna d’Arco.
This month's poem by Jennifer Vaudin, Settling down with a good book, is very apt as it is National Libraries Day on Saturday 7th February. Jennifer moved to Matlock in September 2009. A move which prompted her to read some great books and poems inspired by the county - and to write this lovely poem.

Friends of Buxton Station (FOBS) have been working to brighten up the spa town’s rail gateway since 2009. Sadly, they became inactive for a couple of years and have just got a much-needed boost from a revitalising band of volunteers and new Chairman, Dave Carlisle.
An artist's exhibition space is now available at New Mills Heritage Centre in February 2015; the venue is also taking bookings for 2016.
