‘M.A.I.R.O.U.L.A.’ will be performed at the Buxton Fringe 14-17 July

A very personal Greek crisis with an authentic, intimate Greek voice.

Mairoula is a name. Maybe it’s her name; she never says. She will explain the acronym though, as well as a few other acronyms of her own invention. But first she’s got some other things she wants to tell you. About sex and death and watermelons, why she’d welcome a devastating earthquake, and how she wishes you all the happiness in the world. Funny and profound, ‘M.A.I.R.O.U.L.A’ will have you rapt.

Phil Buckley's Big Idea

About The Show

Have you ever had an earth shatteringly good idea? Phil Buckley hasn’t. He may be a multi award nominated comedian but he is still an idiot.

Last year by chance Phil met Jack Andraka, a teenage boy who may have changed the world. At the age of just 15 Jack has done what scientists with millions of dollars-worth of research at their disposal have failed to do. He invented a dipstick-type sensor to detect pancreatic, ovarian, and lung cancer. Phil is thirty four and has never had a remotely good idea in his life.
