Games Development students at Derby College have designed a high quality video game as part of a project to give them real-life industry experience.
The students are based at the Joseph Wright Centre – the post-16 Academic and Arts college – and designed ‘Drive By Santa’ in just seven weeks.

Holly Noble Company offers an exciting re-telling of Snow White this December using circus, ballet, and film alongside an eclectic soundtrack. The performance will take place at Déda, on Chapel Street in Derby, from Wednesday 19 December to Saturday 22 December.
Mischievous and magical, ‘SNOW’ retells the story of Snow White using dance and circus, narration and film, all within a Victorian Travelling Circus.
Derby-based track cycling HUUB Wattbike test team will be travelling to the latest stage of the UCI World Cup Series on Friday December 14 sporting a newly-designed Derbados flag.

International opera singer to star at Buxton concert
An internationally famous opera singer, who has been associated with Buxton Opera House for nearly 40 years, is looking forward to singing there again in January when she will be performing as a soloist with the Kinder Adult Chorus .
Yvonne Howard, who has performed in operas all over the world, first sang at Buxton in 1979 at a concert to promote the Buxton Opera Festival, which was the anchor event behind the regeneration and relaunch of the Opera House in that same year.
Buxton Festival Fringe has announced the winner of its recent competition to design the cover of next year’s printed Fringe programme.
Catherine Webb, a part-time teaching assistant at St Anne’s Catholic Primary School and formerly a graphic designer at The University of Manchester, says she was “thrilled and tickled pink and everything in between” to be awarded the £100 prize for her winning artwork, an eye-catching design entitled Roar Talent, celebrating 40 years of the Fringe.
