Derby-based Sinfonia Viva, the Orchestra of the East Midlands, has confirmed the programme for its first Derby season since the pandemic.
The concert series between October 2023 and March 2024 will feature performances from world class artists and the commission of a new work which will make its world premiere in the city.
Sinfonia Viva, which celebrated its 40th anniversary last year, has strengthened its partnership with Derby Cathedral for the 2023/2024 season in the city.
The first professional Ukrainian theater in the UK shows the production of "Maria", based on the novel by Ulas Samchuk. This is a story about the history of our people and the life of ordinary people. We invite you and your friends to join us these days.

Safe and Sound Steps Up Outreach Work in South Derbyshire
Derbyshire specialist child exploitation charity, Safe and Sound, has been appointed to extend outreach work in parts of South Derbyshire following a successful pilot programme.
The pilot outreach programme originally started in Swadlincote and was stepped up following a tragic stabbing in a local park which rocked the whole community. The geographical area has since been expanded to other areas in the district eg: Newhall in parks and places where young people tend to congregate.
