Acorn Roots gig at Spital Arts

Acorn Roots are a Derbyshire-based folk-roots ensemble that will get your feet tapping as they whiz through a fabulous collection of songs you may know and others that you may not but will love just the same.

Top Grade Achievements at Derby College Group

The largest cohort of A level students for several years collected examination results at Derby College Group’s Joseph Wright Centre today (Thursday August 15).

Just over 733 students sat A level examinations at DCG’s post-16 Academic and Arts college in the city this summer.

Adult GCSE Success at Derby College

Mother-of-one, Lauren Burns (24), from Ilkeston, one of the many mature students who sat GCSE examinations at Derby College Group (DCG) this summer, is celebrating a Grade 7 (equivalent to an A grade) in English.

Lauren now plans to return to College to do GCSE Maths and also an Access to Higher Education in Humanities and Social Science study programme at the college.

Around the World in a Million Pixels

Travel inspired artist, Susan Bedford, will be exhibiting work from five different continents in her forthcoming solo show in the Banks Mill Studios foyer.

‘Around the world in a million pixels’ is a solo show by Susan Bedford that will run from Wednesday 18th September to Sunday 6th October 2019.  Opening times are Monday to Friday 10am-3pm and Sundays 1-4pm.
