Seeta Patel Brings Not Today's Yesterday to Déda

Award-winning Bharatanatyam dance artist Seeta Patel returns to Derby with stunning political performance Not Today’s Yesterday.

Déda are proud to launch their 2019 autumn season with a new production by BBC Young Dancer judge and Derby favourite Seeta Patel.

Created in collaboration with acclaimed Australian choreographer Lima Limosani, Not Today’s Yesterday offers audiences a chance to engage in the most important geo-political conversation of the decade.

One of the country’s top young people’s choirs is now inviting new members (Girls and Boys) to join by coming along at the start of the new term on at 5pm on Tuesday 10th September at the Uniting Church, Whaley Bridge.

Glossop Arts Project New Group - MIND THE GAP

This group is aimed at young people experiencing mental health difficulties, please join us to think, talk and make art in a safe and confidential setting. 

You'll help us choose the projects, which may include textile collage, designing a mask, self-portraiture, and creating a puppet. 

Run by a qualified experienced Art Teacher and volunteer.

We always struggle to find enough volunteers to help to deliver the public workshops. So become a lantern-making expert and share your expertise!
Full training in the techniques of lantern making. Experienced and new helpers welcome. This event is free.

Sinfonia Viva Expands Outreach Work Thanks to Children in Need

Sinfonia Viva – the Derby-based professional orchestra of the East Midlands – has been awarded further funding by BBC Children in Need to expand its creative work with children and young people who have long-term illnesses or special educational needs.

The three-year project, supported by £119,265 Children in Need funding, will start this Autumn and involve hundreds of young people across the East Midlands.
