39th Derbyshire Open Art Competition Cancelled

We are sorry to tell you that the Peak Buildings, which house Buxton Museum and Art gallery, has been temporarily closed for building structure investigations by Derbyshire County Council’s Property Services.

At the moment it is difficult to estimate how long the building will need to be closed for, but regretfully investigations and remedial work are likely to take some time to complete. We will of course keep everyone informed as and when we have any updates.

We are very disappointed that we must therefore cancel the 39th Derbyshire Open Art Competition. If you were planning to enter the competition, please do not bring your work to the museum on the advertised entry dates. We are sorry to have to cancel the competition at such short notice.
