Visual Artist Open Call - Beam Uk

We are seeking a visual artist with excellent engagement skills to deliver a series of creative workshops with schools and community groups to produce multiple temporary artworks that will feature at the final celebration event for the Walking Together mining memorial.

2022 marks a significant moment in the Walking Together project, in the 10th year of the project the voluntary Markham Vale Heritage Group, supported by Derbyshire County Council and Beam, will complete the mining memorial.

We want you to nominate and show others what they have done and achieved or helped you achieve!

Learners can nominate fellow learners, tutors, learning support assistants and other staff.

Derby Museums, the independent charitable trust operating three much-loved museums in Derby, is appealing to local businesses and the public to support the final push of its £1 million Endowment challenge, which will contribute to securing the future of its museums for generations to come.

Network Meeting Announced + Event Listings + More! At Glossop Creates

After a successful creative network meeting back in September 2021,  Glossop Creates has announced the date and venue for the Spring 2022 meeting - which, for the first time, will bring together the creative, food and music networks in one room.

The meeting will provide a platform for the Glossop Creates team and friends to update the community about the latest news and views from all aspects of the town’s independent and creative community, and provide a space for people and businesses to talk, collaborate and share ideas.

Performers wanted for small-scale tour of In The Mix: Remix.

Working with choreographer Hayley Earlam, In The Mix: Remix is a small-scale touring project designed for SEND and PMLD audiences. The piece is inspired by Darius Powell’s digital installation In the Mix that was shown at LEVEL Centre in early 2022.

LEVEL is looking for two performers with dance or movement experience who have a genuine interest in working with audiences with profound and multiple learning Disabilities (PMLD). Performers must be available from Monday 20 June to Sunday 10 July 2022 with possible extension to 12 July.

Tarpey Gallery Open 2022 - Call for Submissions

Tarpey Gallery Open 2022 continues on from last years hugely successful open with online applications and a more minimal hang. Entries will be open to all artists working in the UK. Any 2d or 3d medium will be accepted.

Entries are open from the 16th May – 16th June 2022 and the exhibition will take place from 16th July – 14th August 2022.

Tarpey Gallery Open 2021 had around 200 entries and showed 101 pieces of artwork made by 71 different artists.

You can enter up to two works, £10 for one piece and £15 for two.

Youth-led theatre company seeks new performers for summer season!

Calling all performers aged 10–30! PB Theatricals Youth Theatre are looking for young actors/singers to join us for our summer 2022 performance season.

Since 2009, we have been rehearsing and performing two performances within a concentrated rehearsal period. This year our shows are Gilbert & Sullivan’s Pirates of Penzance (for ages 16–30), and The Sorcerer (for ages 10–18).
