Broomfield Hall Open Gardens and Rare Plant Fair

Derby College Group’s Broomfield Hall will open its historic 25 acres of grounds and gardens to visitors on Sunday July 31 for a rare plant and craft fair between 11am and 3pm. Specialist stalls include cacti, succulents, carnivorous plants and arts and crafts with bonsai demonstrations.  The college's plant centre will be open as normal offering a wide range of seasonal plants and shrubs for sale. Meanwhile the volunteer-run pop-up

Pedal Power Reaps Rewards For Charity

Commercial property specialist Mark Richardson, who is a partner at BB&J Commercial in The Wyvern, Derby, has raised more than £1,000 for local specialist child exploitation charity Safe and Sound.

Mark is the charity’s chair of trustees and pledged to cycle the 150 mile coast to coast route in one day as part of BB&J Commercial’s support for Safe and Sound’s 20th anniversary year.

Bursary Support Paves The Way For DCG Student’s Medical Aspirations

An A Level student at Derby College Group (DCG) has been awarded a coveted bursary to support her ambitions to study Medicine at university.

Rabina Bulakoti (19) from Littleover has studied at DCG since joining her father in the UK from her home in Nepal three years ago.

Having excelled in her studies, she has been nominated by teachers and accepted onto the Medify UCAT practice platform with a full bursary.
