Following the huge success of the Derby Ram Trail this summer, Derby Museums - the trail’s principal organiser - is pleased to share news about 15 of the rams, which have remained in the public realm for people to enjoy. 

Get ready for the big Christmas lights switch on

Festive Derby comes back to light next month with the return of a live stage show at a new city centre location to mark the official Christmas lights switch on.

This year, all the action will happen on a bespoke stage outside the Council House in Corporation Street on Saturday 13th November, due to the ongoing programme at the Derby Loves You venue at Derby Market Place.

Secret Santa Call Out Brings Christmas Cheer To Local Families

Revive Healthy Living Centre in Chaddesden has launched its ninth annual Secret Santa campaign to match generous benefactors with some of the most under-privileged and vulnerable children in the city.

Last year more than 247 Secret Santa parcels were delivered to local children living in poverty, facing a terminal or life limiting illness, who have lost a parent or sibling who have experienced physical, emotional or sexual abuse or are residing in care.

Sell out for Derby Folk Festival as live concerts make long awaited return

Derby Folk Festival bounced back as a weekend of live events in style on Friday 1st October.

When COVID-19 disrupted live shows, last year’s event moved online and became the well-received Derby Folk Festival at Home. But this year saw the long-awaited return to live concerts and did not disappoint, with visitors travelling from across the UK and Ireland.

World Mental Health Day

The World Health Organisation recognises World Mental Health Day on the 10th of October every year.

This year's theme set by the World Federation for Mental Health is 'mental health for all'. Throughout this day and week there are opportunities for people to talk about all aspects of mental health, with focus on providing help, advice and engaging with others.
