Up the Rams! Up the Theatre!

After a trying year, we’re sure you’re thankful that football has finally returned to the stadium. But we’re here to tell you it’s also playing on the stage at the Theatre in a must-see, unique show for football fans and theatregoers alike! 
 
This October, Derby Theatre are producing and presenting Extra Time – a show created by DCFC’s poet, Jamie Thrasivoulou, football fans and theatre makers across the city.
 

Sinfonia Viva Returns to Nottingham for NYE Gala Concert

Sinfonia Viva are back to put the glamour, glitz and flare back into New Year’s Eve with their popular performance at Nottingham’s Royal Concert Hall which has been a mainstay with local audiences for more than 25 years.
 
Promising a night of classical and popular favourites, the Grammy-nominated orchestra of the East Midlands will be under the baton again of Nicholas Kok – a firm favourite with New Year’s Eve audiences.
 

Creative Network Meeting

We will be holding our next Creative Network Meeting at The Partington Theatre from 7pm on Thursday 30th September and would really love to see you there. Your first drink is on us, and there will be some food provided too.

  • A welcome to the network for some new faces, they will introduce themselves and please do say hello to them throughout the evening.

Derby Festé Makes A Welcome Return

Derby Festé will make a welcome return to the Cathedral Quarter and St Peters Quarter on the evening of Friday September 24 and then throughout the day and early evening on Saturday September 25 and Sunday September 26.
 
This year’s carefully curated programme features a host of world-acclaimed and exciting up and coming artists who will bring the city centre streets to life with contemporary and unique music, dance and street theatre performances.

Extra council funds for local groups

Are you in a community group? Your local councillor has extra funding available this year to help groups in their area.

Each county councillor usually has £3,860, as part of our Community Leadership Scheme, to give to local groups. But this year an additional £3,860 has been allocated bringing their total to £7,720. And next year councillors will receive £3,860, plus a £1,500 Platinum Fund to give to local groups organising activities to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
