Enjoy ‘A Little Night Music’ With Sinfonia Viva

The Grammy-nominated orchestra of the East Midlands, Sinfonia Viva, returns to Derby Cathedral next month under the baton of principal conductor Frank Zielhorst for ‘A Little Night Music’ on March 25.

The programme starts with the programme’s inspiration - Mozart’s ‘Eine Kleine Nachtmusik’.

The serenade is one of Mozart’s most enduringly-popular pieces of work. Completed in 1787, it was not published until 1827 – long after Mozart’s death – and is now an instantly recognisable piece used widely in television and film scores.

remark is recruiting 10 participants to join a new visual art writers' group

remark is a collaboration between ArtReview magazine, BACKLIT gallery, Nottspoke writing collective, University of Nottingham and Nottingham Trent University, with support from Quad and Nottingham Contemporary.   While the East Midlands region has a large community of public venues, commercial galleries and artist-run and non-profit spaces, regular critical coverage of these spaces and their programmes is limited. Meanwhile, the few outlets for arts coverage limit opportunities for the professional development of young and emerging writers working in the region.
