Derby LIVE is pleased to announce that Jason Manford will be returning to Derby Arena on 14 October 2021, 7:30pm with his new UK wide tour Like Me. It’s been a busy few years for Jason since his last smash-hit stand up show, but fans of his Absolute Radio show will know this nationally acclaimed comedian hasn’t changed a bit.

Next Saturday, 29 February, we're pleased to have our friends from the Small Print Company in the gallery demonstrating letter press printing. They are here from 12.00 and you can see the technique of letterpress printing and the skill involved in the process. |
Joining us for the evening on 27 March will be Charles Hanson, director and auctioneer of Hansons Auctioneers and star of BBC’s Bargain Hunt, Flog It and Antiques Road Trip. Charles will entertain us with stories about life as a renowned auctioneer and give insights in to what it's like behind the camera.
First Art with Prince's Trust are hosting an event for budding entrepreneurs aged 18-30 interested in setting up their own cultural enterprise. The event is for people from Ashfield, Mansfield, Bolsover and North East Derbyshire.
We have some fantastic speakers including Alan Lane from Slung Low to Alex Barker from the bestselling book, Be More Pirate.
Work has begun on the cultural extravaganza that will be New Mills Festival 2020 and we would love you to take part.
This year's theme is "Vision" (but you don’t have to go with the theme, it is just a suggestion to help with inspiration!). It's taking place from Friday 11th September until Sunday 27th.
Glossop Bookfest 2020 is planned for August (exact dates to be decided) and we need three or four more volunteers to make it a success. The venue will be close to Glossop’s town centre.
We plan to have stalls at which local authors can offer their books for sale, workshops on aspects of writing, and activities for children. Our volunteers will be asked to direct authors and visitors to the right rooms and to help with providing refreshments.
