Due to the ongoing Covid restrictions this year’s Luminate cannot go ahead as a lantern parade around Derby’s wonderful Arboretum. The organisers, The Friends of Derby Arboretum, following on from their summer festival success via Zoom and YouTube will be organising the celebration online.

Adult Community Education Centres will remain open during the November lockdown and will continue to deliver learning. Many courses are now delivered online or remotely via Zoom, including the exciting courses with new creative writing tutor Laura Stroud.
We’ve all felt stuck. Spending hours staring at a blank page. Watching the cursor torment us with its unending, repetitive blink. But it doesn’t have to be this way. This workshop will kick-start your imagination as we explore where writer’s block comes from and how you can overcome it. This is an online workshop delivered live via Zoom. This session was previously delivered as part of the Buxton Fringe Festival and is a repeat session.
