Invictus Communications Launches Apprenticeship Programme

Leading telecommunications, IT and energy provider, Invictus Communications, has appointed three new apprentices to work in key roles across the business.

Evie Culligan is the new marketing assistant; Louis Garner is an IT support technician and Selwyn Christianson is a digital support technician.

All three are completing nationally-recognised qualifications through leading apprenticeship provider EMA Training in Derby.

Flagship office development opens in Chesterfield

A brand new six-storey office development has opened in Chesterfield - a major step forward for the Chesterfield Waterside regeneration scheme.

One Waterside Place was officially opened on Thursday 26 January by Chesterfield Borough Council. The impressive new building, which has become a striking new feature of the local skyline, features six floors of ‘Grade A’ office space with a ground-floor retail unit and has already drawn in new investment to the town.

Applications open for £1.3m Create Growth East Midlands

Hardwick Hall To Host Stunning After-Dark Displays For Final Instalment Of Shine A Light

The National Trust’s Hardwick Hall near Chesterfield will host two nights of stunning after-dark displays for the final instalment of Derbyshire’s Shine A Light spectacular on Friday 17th & Saturday 18th February 2023.


Tickets for the magical events are selling fast as visitors prepare to watch Hardwick’s remarkable history unfold in a breath-taking display of light and sound projected against the dramatic backdrop of Bess of Hardwick’s Elizabethan masterpiece.

Tickets are now on sale for the Peak District & Derbyshire Tourism Awards which will take place at Casa Hotel in Chesterfield on the evening of Thursday 2nd March 2023. 

Shining stars of the local tourism industry will be celebrated at the glittering awards ceremony which will include a drinks reception and three-course formal dinner in the stylish surroundings of the premier four-star hotel.
