Summer Craft Activities at Dronfield Barn

Back by popular return, our summer craft activities start again this August. Join our volunteers every Thursday from 10am-2pm to get involved with the fun - every week there will be a new theme, with the first week being pirates. Stay tuned to hear news of themes for other weeks, to be confirmed at a later date. It's just £2 per child - no pre-booking required.

News from Haarlem Artspace

Our application to Arts Council England for a National Lottery Project Grant was successful and we are delighted to welcome guest artists FourthLand, Tazelaar Stevenson, Michael Page and David Steans for performances on 24 August from 11am-1pm followed by a Symposium with Helen Jukes, Mary Wiltshire, Glennie Kindred, Penny Newell, Chris Thornhill and Catherine Rogers.

Exhibition events at QUAD in Derby, from July to September 2019

QUAD has a selection of events to tie in with its summer exhibitions. The events include Talks, Tours and Late-night openings, a Conspiracy Club also Instagram Live tours which can be followed online.

The events accompany three new exhibitions currently in QUAD. SEEK PRAY ADVANCE: Episode 3 – Operation Starlight is an exhibition by artist Megan Broadmeadow, which is based on real-life testimonies from those who have purportedly had encounters with beings from other worlds, dimensions and realms, across multiple periods in history.

Food and Drink Awards - It's Your Last Chance to Vote!

Nominations close this Friday (28th) for the 2019 Marketing Derby Food & Drink Awards; vote now for your favourite establishment, 2000 already have!

Now in its eleventh year, the Awards recognise and celebrate the city's vibrant and growing food and drink sector.

Derby Property Summit Special

Over 350 senior-level delegates from the property sector attended this week's  Derby Property Summit to hear a line-up of national and international speakers and panellists discuss the challenge of reimagining towns and cities.

Opening the Summit John Forkin, Managing Director at Marketing Derby, said "The way communities use their high streets is changing and towns and cities need to work out how to continue to evolve. The purpose of place is to create a customer  - we have to change the mix to make our cities and towns attractive places in which to live, work and to visit."
