'A Stroll Along Dronny Bottom' Exhibition at Dronfield Hall Barn

 
We're pleased to announce that our revamped 'A Stroll Along Dronny Bottom' exhibition is now available to view through January & February at the Barn.
 
Open in the gallery from 10am-4pm on Wednesday-Sunday, this is a great opportunity to revisit one of our favourite exhibitions to date. There's plenty of fascinating images courtesy of our archive showing just how much Dronny Bottom has changed over the years - did you know that by the end of the 19th century, there were 14 pubs located in the area?

Platinum Jubilee Celebrations in Derbyshire Libraries

 
Derbyshire County Council is preparing to support a programme of activities across the whole county in celebration of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. 
 
The Council has received a grant from Arts Council England’s Let’s Create Jubilee Fund for activities in libraries to celebrate the Jubilee and is inviting artists to put forward creative proposals for these activities.

Welbeck Abbey will open its doors to visitors over three seasons this year, giving unprecedented access to this stately home.  
 
Now taking place in Spring, Early Summer and Late Summer, the Welbeck Abbey State Room Tours offer visitors the opportunity to see the beautiful interiors at Welbeck Abbey. The guided tours include six of the State Rooms that were used to entertain royalty, dignitaries and politicians.   
 

Ashfield Set To Shine Bright With New Light Night

Giant illuminated walkabout puppets, an eight-metre light-up inflatable snail, spectacular light drummers, UV doodles, a glowing silent disco and an Invisible Man are just some of the international and national acts and installations set to be part of a shiny new light-fantastic event coming to Sutton-in-Ashfield on Friday 11 and Saturday 12 February 2022.
 
The free event will create a whole new way to see the town, as street-performers, dancers and artists light up the streets and spaces across the centre.
