Derby Book Festival is looking to fill two exciting management roles

Would you like to join us to manage our Shared Reading community project supporting health and well-being through words?

You will be leading a National Lottery-funded project, now in its sixth year, making a significant difference to the lives of all participants who take part in the group sessions.

We have two exciting, part-time, contracts to fill:

Both posts are freelance contracts for an initial 12 months with an anticipated extension of a further two years subject to achievement of objectives set by the Trustees and agreed with the National Lottery.   The contracts will be managed by Trustees at Derby Book Festival, a registered charity.

Full details, salaries, T&Cs and further information about Derby Book Festival are available on the News pages on our website.

What is Shared Reading?

Our Shared Reading (SR) project supports the health and well-being of local people.  People meet in groups, led by trained SR volunteers, to read, listen and chat about their responses to great stories and poems. It’s an experience that helps thousands of people around the UK to feel good and live well.  Reading together has a unique power to connect us, help us feel better and be more able to cope with life’s challenges.

You can find out more about Shared Reading on our website including hearing what it's like to be a SR volunteer.
