Nightingale Quarter is under way

Work on a £150 million development project by Bondholder Wavensmere Homes to create 800 new homes in the heart of Derby has begun.

James Dickens, Managing Director of Wavensmere Homes said: “We are incredibly proud that work has begun on the site and we are able to show residents and businesses surrounding the site that we have been able to follow through on our promise to start the process in developing the land, which has stood as a brownfield site for so many years."

Oddsocks return to Derby in February with The Adventures of Pinocchio!

Derby-based theatre company Oddsocks Productions return to Derby this February. This time, the team known for bringing classic tales to life with a difference will be adding their inimitable trademark humour, live music and audience interaction to Carlo Collodi’s classic tale in Andy Barrow’s brand-new piece “The Adventures of Pinocchio”.

KlezNorth Klezmer concert 2020

Every March, the world’s finest performers and teachers of klezmer gather at a tiny village in the Peak District. What is klezmer? The soul-wrenching, joyous music, song and dance of the Yiddish-speaking Eastern European Jews, now firmly established on the World Music scene and loved by Jews and non-Jews alike. Following a sell-out event last year for our 10th Kleznorth, we are delighted to announce another end-of-course public concert by our world-leading teaching faculty.
