Donations are in the bag for British Heart Foundation

Unwanted items have been exchanged for £500 of life-saving research into heart disease by staff at a Derbyshire company.

Workers from Lubrizol in Hazelwood bagged up unwanted clothes, toys, books and DVDs for the British Heart Foundation (BHF) in a bid to boost the charity’s ongoing fundraising efforts.

More than 50 bags were donated to the charity as part of its ‘Bag It, Beat It’ campaign which will be distributed to its UK-wide network of retail outlets.

Have you been frustrated over lockdown by the lack of activities you can do, and missed learning and trying new things?

Matinée Outreach is an arts-based project for people living with dementia (and their carers) who are isolated by Covid19 and not comfortable with online activities.

Food From England - Rallying Call

To the food lovers and the food trade of the UK,

The past eight months has seen disaster and innovation within the regional food & drink sector, possibly in equal measure. We have witnessed the rise and fall of our artisan cheesemakers and watched with sadness as our cousins in food service saw their trade plummet overnight.

This has been balanced by independent retailers attracting new customers, adopting the internet as a tool to keep them, and unearthing previously unknown suppliers from their area to broaden the retail offer.
