Apprenticeship Roadshow Inspires Next Generation

A roadshow organised by Derby College Group (DCG) has toured several local schools to raise awareness about apprenticeship opportunities available to young people.

The apprenticeship team visiting schools such as Murray Park in Mickleover, Merrill Academy in Alvaston and St John Houghton in Ilkeston to highlight the wide range of skills training and careers available.

The doors open to the Derby Business Show in March

The Spring show is taking place on 12th March at the Derby Conference Centre and bookings for exhibitors and delegates are now live on the event site.

The event is one of the areas largest BtoB exhibitions for the private sector and will now feature a great line-up of over 40 exhibitors and 8 different Seminars/workshops that are free to attend as a delegate

Dance4 Centre for Advanced Training Opportunities in Derbyshire

Dance4’s CAT is the Centre for Advanced Training provides access to world-class training opportunities and spaces for young people aged between 11-18 years with exceptional potential in dance. The scheme is funded by the Department for Education and we welcome applications from anyone with a passion for dance. We have several opportunities available for young people and their teachers to find out more about the scheme and what it can offer:

Erewash Museum artist commission

ARTIST OPPORTUNITY

Summary:

Erewash Museum are commissioning an artist to provide two paintings or coloured sketches for a backdrop for an exhibition, to support their work with schools and to put on promotional posters and flyers.  They will be used in a temporary exhibition at Kirk Hallam church, two Anglo Saxon event days, and later on display at the museum. The images should be of:

1) Anglo Saxon high status woman carrying a weaving baton, made of iron. Full length image.

Rural Growth Programme Fund

Closing Date: Expressions of Interest must be submitted by 16th February 

A new round of this fund has recently opened which covers rural capital projects - minimum grant £20,000, maximum c.£170,000. The emphasis is on businesses and job creation, but rural tourist attractions, such as museums and heritage centres, can also apply.
The scheme has 3 themes:

1.       Tourism.

2.       Small/medium businesses.

3.       Food processing.

Fundraising /Development Post – One day per week, starting June 1st 2020 
 
An exciting new three year role at High Peak Community Arts, the successful applicant will be responsible for raising the match funding needed for Project eARTh (arts and health programme) and revenue funding for High Peak Community Arts. The role will also include exploration of local / regional developments in arts and health and social prescribing.
