Artcore July 2023

Artcore July 2023

Artcore is embracing the summer spirit as July sweeps in a whirlwind of creative buzz. We are thrilled to announce a new project launching ‘Empowerment for Employment’ in partnership with UKSPF, Baby People and Derby Bosnia and Herzegovina Centre.

As schools begin to close for the summer holidays, we are also cooking up some fun creative classes to keep the young ones engaged during summer! And last but not least July is a month of eager preparation at Artcore for our grand Festival of Togetherness that will take place on 4th and 5th August, where will be having the building bridges exhibition launch, the Summer SwitchOFF and the most awaited summer craft fair ‘Kala Mela’. Keep a lookout for more updates on our social media and website. All in all, a month of new beginnings and joyful anticipation.

June has been an exciting month at Artcore with the launch of Untold Stories at Sahara, Untitled Exhibition and Darley Swifts Installation. We are pleased to say all these events have been an enormous success and we are so glad so many of you got to celebrate these successes. First of all a massive congratulations to artists Emily Bottomer and Nicki Dennett for the Untitled; drawing exhibition. And a special mention to all the young people of Walter Evans primary school who worked very hard to complete the mosaics for the Darley Swifts Arts trail. As we embrace the vibrant colours and creativity of the summer season, we are thrilled to share with you further insights into the remarkable achievements, upcoming events, projects and captivating exhibitions.
