MEMBER: Heage Windmill

Heage Windmill was built in 1970 and restored in 2002. It is a working, stone towered 6 sailed Mill. This unique Grade 2* listred building is set in the Derbyshire Countryside, providing spectacular views towards the Derwent Valley Mills World Heritage Site. The are guided tours and the Windmill is open from the beginning of April to the end of October from 11am to 4pm at weekends and Bank Holidays with the last guided tour starting no later that 3.30 pm. There is an interpretation centre and and Visitor Centre selling tickets, souvenirs, light refreshments. There is a large car park on site with wheelchair access to the Interpretation Centre, visitor centre, toilets and ground floor of the Mill. Flour milled at Heage Windmill is sold in the Visitor Centre and at Bakewell Farmers Market.
