Four artist filmmakers explore the realities of what ‘work’ means for the way we live today.

Dryden Goodwin, Jenny Holt, Esther Johnson and Adam Lewis-Jacob worked in Derby, Thrapston, Bolsover and Birmingham, each responding to a particular context, and engaging workers and non-workers in making their films.

WORK is collaboration between Derby based Animate Projects and four other Midlands arts organisations: QUAD in Derby; Fermynwoods Contemporary Art in Thrapston, Northamptonshire; Vivid Projects in Birmingham; and Junction Arts in Chesterfield.

WORK is supported by Jerwood Arts and using public funding by the National Lottery through Arts Council England.
