Urgent call out for culture sector response to the Energy Bills Relief Scheme Survey'

ACE have asked CHWA to get this survey on the energy bill relief for organisations out to as many people as possible. This is crucial to make sure the cultural sector is represented when it comes to the government’s planning for energy relief. It won’t apply to everyone - it’s not for freelancers for example (see below) - but if it does please do complete it, or pass it to whoever might tackle this internally, and of course please do circulate to anyone you think this is relevant to:

"Please only complete the survey if you are an organisation or charity that is subject to business expenditure. This survey is not designed to be completed by individuals, nor does it relate to domestic tariffs and expenditure, although we are working closely with the Department of Culture, Media and Sport to ensure that this group is represented."

NB To complete the survey you need to add an SIC code - don’t let this put you off, the ACE page has some guidance - please do read it, and if you’re not sure just pick the one that’s closest to you - they are well aware it’s imperfect. A good tip is to pick the type of organisation that will have the closest energy profile - so for example if you work with archives, pick 'museum activities’ which also manages collections with similar energy implications.  https://www.artscouncil.org.uk/energy-bill-relief-scheme-review-sector-survey#t-in-page-nav-3
