Mervyn Allcock, Chairman of Barrow Hill, joins the Old Dronfield Society to give a talk about the history of the roundhouse and the recent re-development that saved it.

Creative Writing Course With Local
Author, Laura Wake

Develop your fiction writing skills on this supportive, practical course. You will explore techniques and writing exercises, look at how great writing works, and share your fiction as it develops through weekly workshops.
 
Whether you are considering creative writing for the first time, or a writer wanting motivation or to sharpen up your skills, this is a course for all.
 
Classes starting Tuesday 10th April at The Barn, Dronfield
From 09:30 to 11:30 AM for 10 sessions

A bit about Laura...'I have taught Creative Writing at Sheffield Hallam University and for the Workers’ Educational Association. I have a Masters Degree with Distinction in Writing, and a First Class BA Honours Degree in English.
My first novel A Monster by Violet was published in 2017 by Urbane Publications and was longlisted for The Polari Prize, and the Not The Booker Prize. I am currently working on my second novel.'
