Unmissable Amateur Shows at Derby LIVE

Derby LIVE is pleased to present a number of amateur theatre productions that will be taking place at Derby’s Guildhall Theatre this spring. Kaleidoscope Players, The Watson Players and Big Adventures Youth Theatre will be entertaining audiences with a range of shows from musicals to murder mysteries.

The award-winning Kaleidoscope Players are bringing BIG - The Musical to the stage. BIG - The Musical is a joyous musical spectacular that will enchant audiences of all ages as it brilliantly brings to life the magic of one of the best-loved movies of all time. BIG - The Musical will be performed at Derby’s Guildhall Theatre on Thursday 8 - Saturday 10 June. Tickets are priced at £9 - £12 and concessions are available.

The Watson Players present While the Lights Were Out – a murder mystery with a twist. A body is found at The Wickenham home as they await guests for a dinner party. This triggers a series of events of one of the most astounding and hilarious murder mysteries ever staged. While the Lights Were Out will be performed at Derby’s Guildhall Theatre on Wednesday 21 – Saturday 24 June. Tickets are priced at £11 and concessions are available for Wednesday night.

Monty Python’s Spamalot will be performed by Big Adventures Youth Theatre. Spamalot is based on the classic movie Monty Python and the Holy Grail, telling the legendary tale of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table. The show features fantastic tunes and guarantees a hilarious night at the theatre for all. Spamalot will be performed at Derby’s Guildhall Theatre on Wednesday 5 – Saturday 8 July. Tickets are priced at £13.25 and concessions are available.
