Happy 250th Birthday Cromford Mills!

All family trails are themed around parties this summer!

The Lost Party Hats:
Oh dear, the Froggott children have lost their party hats. How will they host a party for the mill now? Come and search high and low in our windows across the mill yard to find the 8 missing hats, and collect the letters to find the secret word. Whisper the word to the staff on the gate and you could win a prize!

The mill cat’s quiz - Parties from the Past:
The mill cat became an expert quizmaster over lockdown… He has put together a fiendishly tricky quiz all about past celebrations at the mill. Do you dare accept his challenge? Find the 10 QR codes across the site to answer the questions. Let the staff at the gate know your score at the end, and you could win a prize!

Cromford Mills are also running pond dipping sessions, time traveller’s tours, and have a last minute visit from the Wild Geese Theatre Company on 3rd August, to put on Boudica, an interactive children's performance.

Photography Competition

In celebration of 250 years of Cromford Mills, you are invited to submit images of Cromford Mills, the Canal Wharf, Village or Church at the Celebrating the Arts Weekend on 21 – 22 August, with cash prizes to be won!

To register your interest and receive full details, please email events@arkwrightsociety.org.uk by 15th August.
