Straight Curves – September in the loop

It was great to be back in the studio and teaching again today, and starting the year off with one of my favourite workshops too, free machine embroidery. Not only that but we've got new chairs, new display cupboards and our outside is more purple too!

We're confident of providing well ventilated and light spacious studio spaces for you to learn and get creative in. Here are some pictures I took before we got started today for those of you who may not have been to visit us yet due to lockdown. We will be holding most of our sessions over multiple rooms to allow us to space out and feel safe. If you have any mobility issues please let us know when booking and we will modify things as needed to suit you. Also in case you did not know we also have a fully accessible toilet on the ground floor.

We are asking that you still wear masks while in the studio to make everyone feel as safe a possible particularly when you are close to other learners or tutors watching demonstrations and getting help. However we are happy for you to remove your masks to have a break and drink a cuppa, not forgetting dunking a biscuit too. Please try to wear your masks as much as possible as many of our customers and staff have anxiety and this will really make a difference to everyone feeling comfortable and safe.

Our virtual classes are still running alongside our in person sessions and are bookable on our website including adult art classes, our popular after schools in art and JumpingCLAY modelling. We are also returning to schools to do our JumpingCLAY after school clubs in school too.

We hope to see you all again soon as Woolly Wednesday is back in person as well as online and from this week we are open on Wednesdays during term time for you to pop in to buy wool, JumpingCLAY and book onto sessions from 10am - 1pm. If you can't pop in then don't worry your can arrange to come in at another time you just need to contact us to arrange it.  As we have decided that learners deserve our full attention just like our pop in customers so we will make sure someone is there to greet you other than our tutors who are teaching so you can get the help your deserve.
