Run Away with the Circus this December

Holly Noble Company offers an exciting re-telling of Snow White this December using circus, ballet, and film alongside an eclectic soundtrack. The performance will take place at Déda, on Chapel Street in Derby, from Wednesday 19 December to Saturday 22 December.

Mischievous and magical, ‘SNOW’ retells the story of Snow White using dance and circus, narration and film, all within a Victorian Travelling Circus.

Turning traditional ballet on its head, Holly Noble incorporates sign language throughout the choreography and uses a diverse soundtrack from classic music to David Bowie and INXS.

In previous work, Holly Noble has worked with such prestigious organisations as the V&A museum in London, creating work inspired by Alice in Wonderland for their Friday Night Lates, the late-night exhibition opening which presents audiences with live performance, installations and events, and a Christmas Victorian Nutcracker aimed at introducing young ages to dance.

Holly focuses on creating performances that make dance accessible to everyone, acting on a firm belief that everyone, no matter age or gender, should have the opportunity to experience dance in all its forms and benefit from what dance and ballet has to offer.

‘SNOW’ continues this theme using both sign language interpretation and captioning to improve accessibility. Moreover, although the performance is perfect for families, younger and older ages alike will find something enjoyable as the show presents incredibly skilled performers and offers a classic tale re-told with a modern twist.

Why not run away with the circus this festive season?
