QUAD in Derby is looking to recruit a Chair of Trustees!

QUAD is an international centre for engagement in contemporary art and film, based in Derby. QUAD is a registered charity and all profits from commercial activities, including tickets and café bar sales, are re-invested in QUAD's work. It is a charity focused on intercultural dialogue through supporting diverse audiences to engage, develop skills and contribute to contemporary culture. Year-round learning, education and participation programmes involve people and communities locally and worldwide in innovative arts programmes.

The year-round programme focuses on major exhibitions, professional practice for artists, mass participation, commissions, independent film and the creative use of emergent digital technologies. Major projects include FORMAT International Photography Biennale, as well as recent exhibitions by artists Benedict Drew, teamLab and Kimchi and Chips.

The role of the trustee board is to receive assets from funders, safeguard them and apply them to the charitable purposes of QUAD. The trustee board must always act in the best interests of QUAD, exercising the same standard of duty of care that a prudent person would apply if looking after the affairs of someone for whom they have responsibility. The trustee board must act as a group and not as individuals.

It is a voluntary vacancy.

Salary: Unpaid. Travel expenses may apply.

To apply, send an up to date CV which shows your full career history, no longer than three pages and a covering letter explaining why you are interested in this role outlining your current and previous experience which would meet the requirements of the post.

Please send your application by email to Sarah Loates at apply@Loates.net.

The closing date for applications is Mon 21 February 12 noon 2022.
