Pollyanna Celebrates the Four Seasons

Pollyanna Pickering is one of the most collectable painters of wildlife art – and every winter she opens her private gallery in Derbyshire for an exhibition inspired by the British Wildlife she loves. Over 50 paintings will be exhibited to the public for the first time from the 14th to 29th November in the relaxed and comfortable atmosphere of her private gallery at Brookvale House, Oaker, near Matlock (AA signposted). Visitors will be welcome between 10.00am – 6.00pm each day, admission free

This year Pollyanna has created a new collection of work inspired by her love of the countryside in every season – the dramatic snow and ice of winter to the fresh flowers and adorable baby animals of spring.

Many of the birds and animals featured in the paintings were cared for by Pollyanna in the years when she ran her own wildlife sanctuary from her home – which also provided a unique opportunity to study and sketch the creatures in her care. This close contact is reflected in the realism and vitality of the individual portraits. Pollyanna will be in the gallery throughout the exhibition, and will be happy to chat about her work, and share some of the stories about the animals which inspired her.

The exhibition will round off an exceptionally busy year for Pollyanna. During her career she has won over thirty awards for excellence in Art and conservation. In 2015 she was honoured to accept a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Inspirational Women Awards, recognising her exceptional achievements in both wildlife art and international conservation.

Two new limited edition prints will be launched at the event. Also on display throughout will be Pollyanna's extensive ranges of greetings cards, fine art and limited edition prints, and a wide variety of gift ware featuring her work, including signed sets of her postage stamps, alongside giftware exclusively commissioned by Harrods.

Brand new card and papercrafting kits and printable DVDroms will also be available - as launched live on television in a series of increasingly popular programmes featuring Pollyanna on the Create and Craft channel! There will be over 150 Christmas card designs to choose from, including the latest charity cards for Guide dogs for the Blind, the RSPB, RNLI, RSPCA, The Wildlife Trusts, and Blue Cross among many others.

Four new fine art calendars of her work will be available for 2016, along with diaries, eco-friendly wrapping paper and even Christmas crackers and decorations featuring her designs!
