Anyone can participate (subject to committee approval) but it is up to you to find and book your venue. Once you are sure of your venue, dates, event description, times and prices then you are ready to submit your event using our online submission form. It's simple and the festival is fun!

New Mills Festival is delighted to launch an open call for four commissioned works to form a central part of the festival’s Art Trail and Big Weekend for 2021! The Trail forms part of New Mills Festival, taking place from the 10th to the 26th September.

Back, by popular demand! New Mills Festival will host a poetry trail filled with verse ranging from the silly to profound. Accepted poets will:
- Have their work displayed in shops and business windows around New Mills for the duration of the festival (10 – 26 September 2021)
- Be invited to read their work at a live event on Saturday 18th Sept
- Be listed in the trail map distributed across the town
- And NEW for 2021 - 5 works will be chosen to be printed on large scale panels to be displayed in prominent sites across the town!
