'The Cavernicoles of Creswell - The Biology of Caves'

We're looking forward to welcoming Dr Chris Terrell-Nield to the Barn to give a talk all about the biology of caves. Dr Terrell-Nield is a principal lecturer at Nottingham Trent University, and a trained entomologist with particular interests in cave biology and woodland management. Join us as he gives a fascinating talk entitled 'The Cavernicoles of Creswell'. 

Dry Stone Walling Workshops

Choose from one of three weeks and join us for our Dry Stone Walling workshops. On the first day of the workshop, you will learn about the history and the technique of dry stone walling at the Barn (9:30am-12pm), before you'll travel into the Peak District National Park on the second day (9:30am-3pm) to put what you have learned into practice. Summer Showstoppers in Concert

A fantastic opportunity to come and listen to the extremely talented Andrea Ryder(Soprano) and Mark Cunningham (Tenor) as they present an evening of popular West End Musical hits and famous arias from the world of Opera. The performance will comprise of 2 x 30 minute halves with an intermission for refreshments

Rebecca McIlroy (harp) and Rebecca Howell (violin) from The Royal Northern College of Music, will give a beautiful recital of classical music in the Barn’s gallery. Two 45 minute performances with a break for refreshments in between. Get your tickets here  or at the Barn every day between 10am and 12pm, and 2pm and 4pm.  

Dronfield Arts Festival Open Art Exhibition

This year the Dronfield Arts Festival is hosting its first Open Art Exhibition. Over 30 experienced artists from Dronfield and district will be submitting their original artwork for selection and exhibition over the festival weekend. All artwork on display will be for sale, so be sure to come along and support the artists.
