Dawn Turner is an Ilkeston based artist who was brought up in, and has strong family ties to, the area. She works with local schools and community groups, although her studio practice is primarily in glass.

Dawn first explored the technique of fusing about twelve years ago and has been hooked on glass ever since. She loves to share her enthusiasm for glass through making, exhibiting, learning and teaching.

This exhibition is a celebration of Dawn’s journey, showing just some of the many kiln-forming techniques she has discovered along the way. It showcases a variety of work in both art glass and recycled, some inspired by Dawn’s love of patterns and textures, and some just a little bit influenced by the town she grew up in.

This informative exhibition is suitable for all ages.
