Fringe Team Turn Town Orange

Buxton Fringe committee members met outside Buxton Opera House to plant up the first of this year’s orange Fringe “hot spots” recently. Buxton Fringe has been encouraging more orange-themed floral displays around the town in the run up to the event, which runs from July 6-24 and features 170 entrants in categories including theatre, comedy, music and more. The Fringe wishes to thank the Parks Department, Morrisons for the donation of compost and plants and seeds and also Jo and David Holdway for donating flowers in tribute to the Fringe’s Viv Marriott whose idea it was to create the hot spots. Participants in the scheme include Day Zero, Scriveners, the herb garden at Poole’s Cavern, the Forest Gin Garden, Lubens, Zink, The Cheshire Cheese, Water Street Sensory Garden, the Pump Room, Jo Royle Outdoor, The Argyle Care Home, The Pavilion Care Centre, Haddon Hall Care Home, The Hawthorns, Bright Opportunities, Brick Corner, The Green Man Gallery and Buxton Infant School.
