Free Drama Workshops for children and young people in Derby this March!

With the support of Community Action Derby, Anansi Theatre Company are introducing their creative workshops for children and young people, especially the underrepresented.

They are particularly eager to encourage participants who are from ethnic minority backgrounds or whose English might be a second language to join them in these workshops. The workshops will act as a taste of what they would like to offer Derby and other areas in the East Midlands and beyond!

The workshops will be looking at The Anansi Spider Story using physical theatre and story-telling. There will be a use of movement, African Drumming, crafts and other story-telling techniques!

All Workshops are in Derby at 5pm-7pm

1) 7th March -The Maypole Derby- Age 6-10
2) 14th March- The Maypole Derby- Age 11-16
3) 21st March- Deda, Derby- Age 6-10
4) 28th March- Derby Women's Centre- Age 11-16 - Girls/Women of colour only
