Foundation Year Actor Training starting soon!

Foundation Year Actor Training starting soon!

We are delighted to have received Arts Council funding which enables us to launch the region’s first learning disabled Actor Training programme. Launchpad is a Foundation year training and has been designed specifically for actors with learning disabilities who want to be part of a vibrant company and potentially work on stage, screen and television.

LaunchPad offers training in:

STAGE PRESENCE AND FOCUS
PHYSICAL THEATRE
MOVEMENT
VOICE AND BREATH WORK
STORY-TELLING WITHOUT WORDS
CREATING CHARACTERS

This foundation year programme will run until July 2018, two days a week.

As part of this training, participants will also have the opportunity to work with a range of artists and companies from the East Midlands and beyond. The trainees will begin to develop ideas for Hubbub’s next show and some of this will be shared in June 2018 – watch this space and our Social Media for more information!

Following on from this Foundation Year Hubbub are planning a 2-year course and then finally an Advanced course so that trainee actors can really develop their skills to a professional level.

To find out more about the course or to apply for one of the few remaining places, contact us at info@hubbubtheatre.org  01332 742587

Thank you to Arts Council England for funding this project and to Derby City Council and Big House for match funding. Thanks also to our supporting partners Derby Theatre, Deda, Attenborough Arts, Burton Brewhouse and Central School of Speech and Drama.
