'Remote' exhibits the work of fine artist Steve Gresham and Sculptor Jane Cairns.
Steve Greshams paintings - are created intuitively and incorporate paint/collage. Gresham is interested in the relationship between person and place specifically within the remote landscapes in which he chooses to wander.
Jane Cairns sculptural works explore the beauty found in the ordinary - concerned with how materials weather and the juxtaposition of surfaces.
Cairns's focus on the unexpected, quiet beauty of neglected environments and found objects fits seamlessly with Steve Greshams weathered paintings of remote landscapes.
There will be an opportunity to meet the artist Steve Gresham at the opening of the show on November 10th 3pm - 6pm. The exhibition continues until December 17th. The gallery is open (11-5pm) Friday - Sunday.
There will also be an Artists Talk on the evening of 24th November - places will be strictly limited - in true OLUG style - to create an atmosphere of warmth and intimacy. Tickets will go on sale shortly - I'll send out a brief newsletter to you all as and when they do.
There is a Facebook event on the gallery business page - where you can join the event and view some of the work that will be included in the show: https://www.facebook.com/events/712822819089939/
