Exciting Producer opportunity at Hubbub

We’re looking to recruit a producer to support our next Arts Council funded project The Drum. We would like to work with an ambitious producer who will bring their own strategic ideas to Hubbub with the hope that we can grow the position into a senior role within the company. Hubbub is at a very exciting point of development, thanks to Elevate funding which has had a hugely positive impact on the company. As we look ahead, opportunities for learning disabled artists to train, create and perform have never been championed and supported as much as it is presently. We believe the right producer will be able to harness this critical moment to carve an exciting trajectory for Hubbub and their own career development.

The Drum will see us work with Gecko’s Associate Director, Helen Baggett who will be the Movement Collaborator on our project to develop a new touring production. The project will also allow us to actively disseminate our integrated methodology, and develop and share our increasingly ambitious artistic opportunities for people with learning disabilities in theatre in the East Midlands.

Through this project, and with our ever-strengthening reputation for accessible and effective actor training for adults with learning disabilities, we also aim to increase our training and theatre touring profile, our administrative resilience and our sector influence, with the aim of joining ACE’s National Portfolio in 2022.

As an organisation committed to the development of producers in the cultural sector, opportunities for career development will be offered as integral to this role, in particular a mentorship with one of our partner organisations, Told by an Idiot, (delivered by their Executive Director). Our aim is to equip a committed professional to become a core part of our small team as we move ahead with our ambitious and exciting plans.
