Exciting news from New Perspectives Theatre Company

Since we first brought productions to the village in 2002, we've had excellent shows from New Perspectives.

We're pausing live theatre for now like everyone else, but in the meantime please try their postcards - cards by post telling a love story - and PlacePrints - 10 online tales to engross you!

Getting Love From Cleethorpes
Who doesn't enjoy receiving a letter or card through the post? And who isn’t a romantic at heart?

'Love From Cleethorpes' is a specially commissioned love story spanning 30 years. It's told through a series of 6 postcards, posted to you every couple of days from mid-August, with each revealing the next part of the story. Just imagine waiting for the next episode to pop through your letterbox!

Before the Covid-19 outbreak, New Perspectives brought high quality theatre to village halls and arts venues in rural areas. Now, the company has devised a novel way of reaching rural audiences; it doesn't replace live drama, but will bring exciting art literally to your doorstep.

It's free to take part, however places are limited – booking open on a first come first served basis until 24 July - click here

KEEP THE SECRET: You are encouraged to keep and share the cards with friends and neighbours, but please don't reveal the story, or share the postcard images on social media, so that more audiences can enjoy this at first hand too.

PlacePrints
Also off-screen, New Perspective's audio series PlacePrints by playwright David Rudkin is available on podcast apps, for details click here The casts include some of the UK's leading actors: Josie Lawrence, Toby Jones, Juliet Stevenson, Michael Pennington, and Frances Tomelty, among others.
