Exciting addition to the Ultimate 90s line up at The Darley Park Weekender

The highlight of the summer events calendar, The Darley Park Weekender is bringing our new show, Ultimate 90s, to the Bank Holiday weekend, Fri 25 - Sun 27 August with names such as Peter Andre, East 17 and FIVE.

Fans of the dynamic duo which forms Atomic Kitten will no doubt be aware of the news that Natasha Hamilton is expecting her fifth child in September this year. With The Darley Park Weekender taking place over the August Bank Holiday, this does sadly mean that Atomic Kitten will no longer be able to appear at the event.

However, joining the Ultimate 90s line-up in their place is Liberty X. Made up of Michelle Heaton, Jessica Taylor and Kelli Young, this talented trio rose to fame as part of the original five finalists of the ITV talent show Popstars. Producing instant hits such as Thinking it Over, Just a Little and A Night to Remember, Liberty X enjoyed international success along with producing a string of Top Ten hits. The original five went their separate ways in 2007, briefly reforming between 2012-2014 for The Big Reunion. Michelle, Jessica and Kelli announced in 2017 that they were reforming Liberty X as a three-piece girl group. They continue to tour, wowing audiences with their nostalgic 90s-early 00s sound.

Band member Kelli Young holds a special connection to Derby and will be returning to her roots, having lived in Derby until the age of 16. Kelli attended Derby High School in Littleover, before chasing the bright lights of London.

The rest of the weekender will feature 80s Mix Tape on Saturday 26 August, when headliner Martin Kemp will be taking to the decks, alongside Scottish pop duo Hue and Cry and pop band ABC.

The Darley Park Concert will close the three-day event on Sunday 27 August, with more classical music and fireworks in one of the UK’s biggest outdoor classical concerts.
