Derbyshire Literature Festival 2015 is now underway

The Derbyshire Literature Festival is now underway.  

Why not try A Double Helping of Poetry with poets River Wolton and Sally Goldsmith at Oakland Community Care Centre, Swadlincote on Wednesday 13th May . Sit back and listen to their poetry, and join in the discussion about your favourite poems past and present.

Join award winning poet Mark Gwynne Jones for his family friendly show based on his new poetry book for young readers Wordworms! at New Mills Library and Buxton Library on Saturday 9th May

Feeling creative? Why not join Helen Mort, Derbyshire Poet Laureate for a creative writing workshop at the beautiful Renishaw Hall, taking inspiration from the gardens. Bring your packed lunch and make a day of it! Saturday 16th May. Ticket price includes access to the gardens.

Kev Fegan, poet and currently playwright-in-residence for Barrow Hill Roundhouse, will be performing a monologue and running a playwriting workshop at Staveley Library on Tuesday 12th May.

Helen Mort will also be performing at Belper Arts Festival - Family Arts Day at Shottle Hall on Sunday 17th May. Check out the Belper Arts Festival website for other poetry and literature events

It's also time for Poetry with Punch featuring Three Soundswrite Poets: Karin Koller, Maxine Linnell and Jayne Stanton on Wednesday 3rd June at 7.30pm at Codnor Methodist Church, Mill Lane. Tickets: £5 including refreshments. To book tickets ring 01773 742046.
