Curiousa & Curiousa Lights Adorn The Beautiful Rooms of Isabel Cordero Padilla’s home

Isabel Cordero Padilla’s home was featured in The Observer this week.  She is pictured here in her vibrant dining kitchen; a carefully balanced mid-Century look using leaf greens and yellow ochres, and some fabulous wallpaper by Timerous Beasties.

In the 31 January 2021 publication of The Observer, Isabel Cordero Padilla’s beautiful home was featured, where readers could learn more about the inspiration behind the interior design choices made by Isabel in putting each room’s theme together.

Esther, founder of Curiousa & Curiousa, has been good friends with Isabel for many years, and many of Esther’s lights hang in her home, some of which were designed in collaboration with Isabel as site-specific pieces.  These photos, taken by top photographer James Balston, show off Isabel’s talent for colour and layout.

A pair of Dine Lights are suspended above the dining table in the kitchen space, complementing the fresh verdant hues of the stools at the table.

This chandelier design on the left became the Tiger Lily Chandelier, and was designed in collaboration with Isabel. The chandelier on the right is called the Isabel Chandelier and hangs in Isabel’s bedroom sharing its name with its co-designer. Photo credits: Chris Webb.

Isabel plays with colour wonderfully, adding an accent of bright colour here and there throughout her home.

A bespoke stemmed pendant light hangs by the bedside against the backdrop of wallpaper that was ripped back in a brave move by Isabel to expose the original paintwork on the wall underneath.
