Coalfields Regeneration Trust (East & West Midlands, North East & North West of England, Yorkshire & Kent)

Grants totalling £125,000 are available through the Coalfields Regeneration Trust to support activities that tackle some of the key challenges that still affect the top 30% most deprived coalfield communities. The funding is available to projects run by community and voluntary organisations that will make a positive difference by addressing the following themes:

  • Skills - growing the skills of people in order to increase their opportunities
  • Employment - developing pathways to increase the number of people in work
  • Health - supporting projects that increase participation in activities/services that improve health and wellbeing.

Grants of up to £10,000 are available (a maximum of £2,000 capital may be included). Committees meet quarterly to allocate grants totalling £125,000 in each round. Applicants are advised to consult the eligible wards list on the website before making an application. To apply, organisations need to complete an eligibility survey to determine whether the applicant organisation/group meets the criteria to apply for funding from the Coalfields Regeneration Trust (CRT). The closing date for submitting the survey is the 8th December 2017. The deadline for submitting applications is the 15th December 2017.
