Christmas Gift Ideas From Dronfield Hall Barn

Christmas Gift Ideas From Dronfield Hall Barn

Get your shopping done early this year with some of these suggestions..

Christmas will soon be approaching - and whilst the Barn is currently closed to the public, you can still find some great ideas for festive gifts from our website's shop page!

If you're looking for anything on a history theme, the late Professor David Hey's collection of books makes for great gifts. The three publications, including Ancient Woodlands of Dronfield and District, Medieval and Tudor Dronfield, and The Houses of Dronfield Lead Merchants are all available for just £8 and provide a fascinating insight into the history of our town.

Continuing on the history theme, the publications produced for our most recent exhibition are also available. If you didn't get chance to visit, or would like to learn more about the research that went into producing them, Dronfield Untold Stories and A Stroll Along Dronny Bottom are available for £8 together, or £5 individually.

For any keen ramblers wanting to explore the local area, we've also got some ideal gifts. The Dronfield Rotary Walk guide is a must-buy for anyone wanting to take on the 14.5 mile route, and has been one of our best sellers this year. Should that distance provide too daunting, there's also a great selection of shorter family walks leaflets. The Rotary Walk guide is available for £3, with the family walks collection priced at £4.

We've also got a couple of new recent additions to our shop. For younger readers, make sure you check out author Darren John Charlton's new book - Lucy and the Secret Room! Additionally, if you're looking for a 2021 calendar, we recommend Ann Ward's Dronfield Past & Present calendar. This features some wonderful illustrations of old Dronfield scenesand landmarks around town, and is available for £10.

Artisan and Producers' Christmas Market - Coming Soon!

Whilst we're disappointed to not be able to welcome you to our Christmas market at the Barn this November, make sure you stay tuned to our website and social media in the coming weeks, as we'll be running another of our highly popular virtual markets instead!

Over 30 stallholders, selling everything from honey, jewellery, photographs, cards, artwork, liqueurs, clothes and so much more will be listed on our website. Many of the products you'll be able to buy from these stallholders are not available on the high street, so be sure to give them your support and make your Christmas a local one this year.
