Choral forest concerts

Choral forest concerts

The Choral Forest concerts will be held at Derby Cathedral on Sunday 11 September and Lichfield Cathedral on Saturday 8 October featuring an artistic showcase of poetry, art and music collected from UHDB staff during the Covid-19 pandemic, as part of Air Arts’ Staff Voice project.

The events include:

  • Performances by the UHDB Staff Wellbeing Choir – their first ever public performances – alongside the Derby and Lichfield Cathedral Choirs, including poetry written by staff.
  • The premiere of our new charity single ‘The Longest Winter’ and our first charity single ‘A Grateful Heart’
  • A new art installation called Choral Forest of five handmade trees over 2 metres tall, which will provide the setting for the performance and exhibition at each Cathedral.

Both events are free to attend, and open to all!

This offers us all a chance to reflect on our experiences of the past 2 years, to be grateful to our amazing NHS, to pay tribute to those loved ones we have lost, and to look forward to the future.
