The Chocolate Factory and Derby QUAD team up for “BlockBustler” retro film nights

The Chocolate Factory and Derby QUAD team up for “BlockBustler” retro film nights

With street food, indoor screenings of Reservoir Dogs and Spice World, and even prizes for the best fancy dress, there are unique experiences in store for film fans this March from the Bustler Market team

In partnership with Bustler Market, The Chocolate Factory and QUAD, ‘BlockBustler’ is a new cinema screening concept which is far from an average night at the movies.

The weekend kicks off on Friday March 18th at 6.30pm with Quentin Tarantino’s classic heist movie, Reservoir Dogs, done the Bustler way.

Rated 18, all the iconic action takes place after a botched robbery, with the movie’s cast of colourfully nicknamed criminals trying to piece together what went wrong, who’s to blame, and how to escape.

Packed full of wry dialogue, cartoonish characters and one of the most memorable cult soundtracks of all time, it promises to deliver a nostalgic night out from inside the factory.

If you want to spice your Saturday night, then maybe PG rated Spice World - The Movie could be the experience for you.

On Saturday 19th March from 6.30, if you really, really want street food, themed cocktails, classic 90s disco and a few hours with THE iconic girl group, then join Scary, Sporty, Ginger, Baby and Posh on the tour bus and sing along to all the best Spice Girl hits.

Fancy dress is encouraged, so dust off the platforms, dig out your leopard print two-piece or the little union jack number - whichever spice girl you wannabe for the night.

Olivia Pritchard, founder of Bustler Market @ The Chocolate Factory said: “We are so excited about partnering up with QUAD to bring unique cinema experiences to the East Midlands. We have a flexible and versatile space, which can welcome up to 300 people and QUAD's in-house technical team, TECH:SQUAD, have the cinematic know how to make these events outstanding.

“Eating, drinking and singing along are all wholeheartedly encouraged and those who wish to fully immerse themselves with fancy dress, there are prizes are up for grabs. We’re hoping to attract existing and new customers to Bustler to give them a really fun and unforgettable experience.”

Dr Alex Rock, Head of Commercial Services at QUAD and TECH:SQUAD Director, added: "QUAD has been involved in producing unusual cinema events in special locations for many years, linking up great spaces including cathedrals and heritage properties with great cinema. We're so happy to be bringing our unique cinema offer to the Chocolate Factory, teaming up with the Bustler Market team to bring food, films and fun to a wider audience and celebrating Derby's fantastic cultural offer in this special space."
