Charities Leadership Programme launched (UK)

The King's Fund, Comic Relief, and the Big Lottery Fund have opened the application process for a unique support programme that will enable charity leaders to help each other through sharing expertise and developing skills. The Cascading Leadership programme offers an initial 80 free places worth £3,000 each. Anyone leading a voluntary and community sector (VCS) organisation focussed on health and wellbeing of any size, early stage or established, can apply. There are two opportunities on offer:

Pollyanna to join Conservation Delegation to China

Wildlife Artist Pollyanna Pickering will be travelling to China later this month, as part of an official delegation of conservationists in a bid to encourage protection of threatened species worldwide.

 A selection of Pollyanna’s original paintings will be included in the Artist for Conservation Society’s International exhibition at the Lanwan Art Museum which forms part of  a 50-acre ecological park art village and public gallery, located in one of China's most beautiful and important coastal cities - Qingdao City

CALL FOR PROPOSALS Artist in Residence @ The Creative and Virtual Technologies Research (CVTR) Lab

Enabling Innovation and Nottingham Trent University invite proposals from Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire (D2N2) based artists/designers wishing to be short-term Artists in Residence at NTU, in the Creative and Virtual Technologies Research (CVTR) Lab. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on access to the facilities available in the Lab, to obtain training and supervision, and work on a collaborative project specifically utilising digital based art and design technologies.

Residencies will be fully subsidised by Enabling Innovation, and involve:

OPPORTUNITY - AA2A Artists & Designer maker placements 2016-17

The AA2A project (Artists Access to Art Colleges) is offering around 50 placements, giving artists and designer makers the opportunity to undertake a period of research or realise a project using art college facilities e.g. workshops, IT facilities, lending library, and lecture programme.  AA2A schemes aim to benefit students and institutions through their interaction with practising artists
